Keep It Classy

So I was in bed the other day with a lady friend. We'd spent the evening talking philosophy while we sipped on wine and worked our way through her record collection. It wasn't until I had decided to leave that we ended up in her bed. I had known this girl for several months already, she worked at a coffee shop I frequented downtown. This was the first time we had spent any time together outside of her work, and it had taken a total of four hours to get her into bed, give or take.

Like I was saying though, we were in bed. I hadn't wasted any time dispensing with the clothes and we'd been rolling around for quite a while before she paused suddenly. With all sincerity, she looked me in the eye and said "Chris Hunt, you make it hard for a girl to stay classy".

Greatest compliment I've ever recieved.

But if they cannot exercise self-control, they should marry. For it is better to marry than to burnIf your right eye causes you to sin, tear it out and throw it away. For it is better that you lose one of your members than that your whole body be thrown into hell. And if your right hand causes you to sin, cut it off and throw it away. For it is better that you lose one of your members than that your whole body go into hell.

If you are going to denounce my actions B, I'd much prefer you do so with your own words, that is assuming your comment arises out of concern for my eternal welfare and you posting the above comment stems from a desire to point out the error of my ways. As it stands, I have no Bible of Chris Hunt from which I can quote so there is no way for me to engage in your preferred way of debating.

Chris, I know you would prefer that I speak from my own authority. It's much easier to dismiss me that way. But nothing I have to say on my own authority matters. I also did not post the comment as a way to debate what I said.

However, I apologize if my comment comes off as impersonal. I didn't mean for it to. If you want it in my own words:

You are bound by a law and you will be called to give an account for your adultery. There are only three types of men in the world: those who have been made eunuchs by men, those who have been made eunuchs by God, and the rest of us. Eunuchs are under no obligation to marry. I don't think you're a eunuch.

But I'm not a moralist. I don't say any of this to make you stop sinning, because you can't. You are not a free man. You are a slave to your sin.

And the same goes for Kyle.

What I'm driving at here is that you and I haven't had a conversation in years. Mainly because this is what I expect from you now, I do avoid it. You're not a moralist you say, your authority doesn't matter in your opinion. What I gather from that is you really don't care, you're just doing a duty. So what is to be gained by acting on your own impulse to expose me to the ultimate authority, an authority I am familiar with? Why post anything on here?

You can't even admit that YOU have a concern for me, instead you're side stepping responsibility for posting this comment. If God is an omnipotent being Brandon, I think he's got me covered if he wants me.
